With the launch of Adobe Photoshop CS6 they decided to feature the work of Oleg Dou on the cover of Photoshop CS6.
If you haven’t seen his collection of internationally known work, go to his website here first: http://olegdou.com/
For a few years, Oleg’s work has been known by many. What is appealing about his work is even though we clearly see how important photography is in his craft, Oleg incorporates a heavy use of Photoshop into his post production. I would say this is an acceptable time of such heavy use of removing skin texture. The end result after combining all his elements is a unique and distinct look that only Oleg can get.
What’s amazing about this video is aside from the cover and release of Photoshop CS6, we get to see a behind the scenes look at the thought process of Oleg. Never before have we seen him in this fashion. We get to see when he began, what his inspirations are, what keeps him going, and why he creates.
It binds us together as retouchers, photographers, and artists alike, when we see someone as great as him show himself to the world. He shares the same passion as we do. Not only is this video from Adobe for their release beautiful, but is inspires us all.
